Car Insurance
What is car insurance
Car insurance is a type of insurance policy that provides financial protection to vehicle owners against damages or losses caused to their cars due to accidents or other unfortunate losses like theft, natural calamities, and civil riots.
You might need to pay a higher premium for a luxury car as the amount of premium depends on the value and model of the vehicle. The private car insurance policy can be classified into third-party liability only, comprehensive, and owner damage cover packages.
Accidents
Accidents can cause significant damage to a car as well as the passengers. Car insurance covers the cost of damages and injuries resulting from accidents, providing financial protection and peace of mind to the policyholder and their passengers.

Add-On Cover in Car Insurance
An add-on cover is an additional coverage option that can be added to a car insurance policy to enhance its benefits. These add-ons provide specific coverage against damages that are generally not covered under the standard car insurance policy.
Add-ons can be customized according to the policyholder's needs and budget, providing a comprehensive insurance policy that suits their requirements. However, it's important to note that add-ons come at an additional cost, and policyholders should carefully evaluate their options before selecting them.
Zero Depreciation cover
This add-on provides full compensation for the cost of replaced car parts during a claim, regardless of their depreciated value. It is particularly useful for new and high-value cars.
Consumable cover
This add-on covers the cost of consumable items like nuts, bolts, and engine oil, which are not covered under the standard car insurance policy.
Roadside Assistance
This add-on provides support in case of a vehicle breakdown, including towing services, fuel delivery, and battery jump-start.
Return to Invoice cover
This add-on covers the gap between the Insured Declared Value (IDV) and the invoice value of the car, in case of total loss or theft of the vehicle.
Engine and Gear-box Protection cover
This add-on provides coverage for damages to the engine and gearbox of the car, which can be expensive to repair or replace without insurance.
Tyre Protect cover
This add-on covers the cost of repairing or replacing damaged tyres, which are not covered under the standard car insurance policy.
Key and Lock Protect
This add-on covers the cost of repairing or replacing lost or damaged car keys and locks.
No Claim Bonus (NCB) Protection
This add-on protects the policyholder's No Claim Bonus (NCB) in case of a claim, allowing them to retain their accumulated bonus and enjoy lower premiums
What Is Not Covered In Car Insurance
The policy coverage for car insurance has the following typical exclusions, which apply to the car insurance products offered by all insurance providers

Third-Party Insurance
